So you/your student failed a class. What are your options?
Credit Recovery LabCredit Recovery is offered during the regular school day or in an after school "7th hour" in the Grad Point format. Students work in a self-paced, computer based setting to complete any core academic courses they have failed in any of the 8 semesters.
Students/parents must have a conversation with their guidance counselor in order to enroll in these courses or sign up during class registration. |
Summer SchoolStudents are able to recover failed courses during the summer session.
All core subject areas are offered for learning recovery: English, math, science, social studies, and health enhancement. Students have 4-5 weeks to complete up to 2 classes. Classes are $60.00 each and spots are offered on a first come, first serve basis. More information will be sent out from the guidance office in May. |
MTDAMontana Digital Academy is another format available for students to recover credit in failed academic courses. These courses last the duration of the summer and are also in a self-paced online format. Although these courses are free, they tend to be more difficult for students than our credit recovery courses and students do not have daily access to teacher assistance.
Forms are available in the guidance office. |
